ï‚· What exactly does your solution do, what does it accomplish?
Our reusable device of mechanical separation of cable cutting allows to achieve an
efficient performance in its performance, making this solution viable in terms of an
economic approach, saving resources and innovative properties that solve the
problems related to the challenge.
ï‚· How does your project work? The mechanics of the device is to press the cable to
hold it in place and release it when receiving the sensor signal, as this will avoid
the replacement of the cable by cutting and pyrotechnics or detonation.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS YOUR SOLUTION GENERATES?

To provide a novel alternative capable of applying cutting-edge technology to leave
behind the archaic pyrotechnic explosions, seeking that our device complies with
environmental responsibility, avoiding air pollution caused by explosive residues, in
the same way that keeps the load safe during landing. Likewise, we directed the
manufacture of the device so that these parts were durable and reusable to reduce
production costs for manufacturers and acquisition price of users, at the same time,
we improved the properties and characteristics of these to give them higher quality
in functionality of the device in different scenarios.

What tools, programming languages, hardware or software do you use to develop
your project? We mainly used INVENTOR for the design of the parts, but we also
used SOLIDWORKS for the calculations of deformation and pressing in different
wires and metals!

your project.
ï‚· How does your project take advantage of the use of spatial data?

We took advantage of numerous spatial data during the planning, development and
presentation of the project. Since, these served as a guide to better understand the
problem we were looking to solve, know the existing solutions and analyze how we
could select the best of these, at the same time, we paid special attention to their
weaknesses in order to creatively invent an alternative with spatial data that to date
had not been applied in a similar device, always hand in hand with the knowledge
of the team members.
ï‚· How did the different spatial data inspire your project?
Space data inspired our project from start to finish, taking into account that the
team members made the challenge a way to contribute to technology because of
our passion for space topics, rather than a competition.

ï‚· How will you sell your project, whether to companies, individuals or institutions?
The device described through this project will be sold to companies, as we
consider them to be the target customer, since they are the ones in charge of
manufacturing and assembling parachute systems and we are only in charge of
this piece.
ï‚· What are the costs of your project?

ï‚· Who will be your customers? And your users?
Our customers are private sector companies engaged in the manufacture,
assembly and sale of parachute mechanisms. Our users are partners, since we
believe that the combination of skills and differentiation of individual contributions in
the direction of an effective delegation of functions and responsibilities where we
are also able to accumulate more capital and better logistics.
ï‚· What will your business model look like?
We opted for direct suppliers since a bulk purchase is the best option to subtract
expenses caused by the purchase of individual parts. In addition, the supplier gives
us the facility to acquire these parts tailored to our requirement because this
specific material is customizable, since they have an aerospace focus. We take
care of the assembly of the device and the expenses derived from it, which are
included in the cost.
As for the value proposition, we try to solve the problem of our market sector
through the customization and adaptation of this device in their parachute
mechanisms, to position ourselves as the supplier of this technology and take the
next step in innovation to these other companies already existing and entering the
larger market.
On the other hand, the communication and distribution channels will be through
direct communication between supplier-intermediary-consumer, through marketing
campaigns that reflect why we are the best option to replace their old parachute
line cutting systems in relation, cost-quality.
Finally, we think it is important to attract a strategic partner to not only increase the
economic capital of the company, but also to access different market opportunities
that allow us to continue innovating and expanding the technological scope of the
device mentioned in the project.
